Student Attendance Policy

Attendance is a critical component of learning and successfully applying the skills needed for work zones and construction sites. To ensure students gain the necessary knowledge and experience, our attendance policy is strictly enforced. A 100% attendance rate is required.

Courses are structured based on clock hours, and any missed hours will result in immediate withdrawal from the course, with forfeiture of funds, except in special circumstances.

Roll Call & Tardiness

Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time, whether in the morning, afternoon, or evening, from Sunday through Saturday. Students are expected to contact the Training Directors or Administrative Office at (404) 797-9676 as soon as possible in case of any delay or absence.

Student Records & Right to Privacy

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) grants students specific rights regarding their educational records:

  • Students may access their records by appointment under administrative supervision.

  • Information related to students aged 18 or older will only be released upon written consent from the student.

  • Student records are securely stored in fireproof, locked areas or monitored administrative offices.

  • Records may be disclosed to legal or accrediting bodies without the student’s permission.

Re-Enrollment & Withdrawals

  • Re-Enrollment: Students may re-enter the program at any time.

  • Withdrawals: If a student withdraws or fails to complete their training, a record of their progress at the time of withdrawal will be maintained in their file.

Job Placement & Career Opportunities

Graduates of Traffic Troopers have excellent prospects for employment in Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) positions. While we assist students with job placement, employment is not guaranteed. There are ample opportunities for both part-time and full-time positions in the industry.
